With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles "Mr. Charlie" Crosby, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 89 in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Born on January 20, 1936, in Flint, Michigan, Charles lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Thursday, January 30, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Belaire Cove Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered.

Charles, a proud veteran of the Korean War, served honorably in the Army and was an active member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). His commitment to his community didn't end with his military service; he devoted many years to helping others as a volunteer driver for his local area. He found immense joy in being a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), embodying the spirit of camaraderie and support.

Professionally, Charles made his mark in the petroleum industry, contributing his skills and knowledge at Ensco until his retirement. He was respected and admired by his colleagues and friends for his work ethic and dedication.

Outside of his professional life, Charles cherished the simple pleasures - hunting deer and squirrels, fishing, and camping. He held a deep love for his family and was a guiding light in their lives, creating countless cherished memories together.

Charles is survived by his devoted daughter, Sally Bordelon; his grandchildren, Joby Bordelon and wife, Lainey, and Courtney Guillory; as well as his beloved great-grandchildren, Nash, Millie, Ridge, Kase, and Pipper Kate; his niece, Connie Crosby and great niece, Mandy Lannon of Flint, Michigan.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 9:00 am with a Rosary being recited at 12:00 am by Deacon Ben Soileau. Visitation will resume after the Rosary until the time of service.
