VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of Charles Charlie, Sr. 77, announces his passing on Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Baton Rouge, La. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Committal will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Charles was the owner of Charlies EZ Shop grocery store in East Brookstown Subdivision, Baton Rouge, La. from June 1969 June 1981. A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Charles will be loving remembered by his wife of 59 years, Emily Guillory Charlie his three daughters, Elizabeth and John Hynes, of Holden, Monique and Kip LeBlanc, of Baton Rouge, Michele and Wayland Conway, of League City, Tx.and his son Charles Charlie, Jr., of Denham Springs his sister, Barbara Ann Mayerand his brother, Harold Charlieand his grandchildren, Christina, Nicole, Robert, Lucas, Hannah, Jeremy, Jolene, Josiah, Anthony, Melissa, Michael, and Hannah, Jennifer, Nathan, Emily, Ethan, Megan, Danielle, Sarah and Natalie and 11 Greatgrandchildren.

He now joins in heaven his parents Vernice Fontenot Charlie and Louis Charlie.

Visitation will be held Tuesday February 22, 2011 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again from 9 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7 PM Tuesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Charles and Michael Charlie, Kip and Ethan LeBlanc, Robert and Lucas Mason. Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Charlie and Brent Ardoin.

Special Thanks to Dr. Fraser Landreneau and his staff at The Neuromedical Center, Dr. Moises Arriaga and his staff at OLOL Hearing and Balance Center, and Surgical Progressive Care Nurse Corrie, and Craig and Debbie Charlie.
