Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Junebug Stampley, 70, announces her passing on Friday, June 5, 2009 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. Services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pines Claire Cemetery with Bro. Roger Whittington officiating.
Carolyn will be remembered as a legal secretary for over 20 years and someone who loved fishing at Toledo Bend and frying fish for her grandchildren. A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Durbin of Burleson, Tx.; three daughters, Pamela Chretien and husband, Gregory of Burleson, Tx., Donna Deshotel of Ville Platte, and Debra Neal and husband, David of Hindsville, Ar.; three brothers, Jack R. Stampley and wife, Linda of Nederland, Tx., James R. Stampley and wife, Diane of Nederland, Tx., and Gary L. Stampley of Las Vegas, Nv.; nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Sudye Stampley; a sister, Betty Pontiff, and a grandson, Timothy John Aymond.
Family request that visiting hours be observed Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
