Brenda Gale O. LaTour

VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Brenda Gale O. LaTour at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte, on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Brenda passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the age of 78. Brenda was born on February 18, 1945 in Ville Platte to Paul Ortego of Ville Platte, Louisiana and Hazel Delafosse Ortego of Washington, Louisiana. Brenda attended the Ville Platte Vocational School and after 17 years, she retired as a processor at the ASC office in Ville Platte. Brenda enjoyed fishing, crocheting, gardening her flowers and shopping. She also enjoyed dressing her best.  This loving and hard working wife, mother and grandmother will be greatly missed by those she loved.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Woodrow P. LaTour of Whiteville; two sons, Bart LaTour and wife, Becky of Bayou Chicot and Mitch LaTour and wife, Stephanie of Washington; one sister, Pat Fuselier of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Anthony, Brandon, Hailey, Gavin, Kristina, and Drew; eight great grand children; and one great great grandchild.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Paul Ortego.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 3:30 pm until 8:00pm. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 6:30 pm and will be led by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 16 from 8:00 am until dismissal at 10:30 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and entombment will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
