VILLE PLATTE- Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial for Brenda Sue Lafleur, 71, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Monday, November 20, 2017, who passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Opelousas General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Father Tom Voorhies, Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be celebrating her mass and conducting the funeral services.

Entombment will take place in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Mrs. Sue worked as a Bank Teller for many years. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. This loving wife and mother enjoyed cooking for her family; especially on holiday, reading, puzzles, yardwork, and gardening. Mrs. Sue's kind, nurturing, and caring ways made her an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed watching them play sports. Mrs. Sue will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her memories will live on through her family. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Norman Lafleur; sons, Bryan Lafleur and wife Tonya of Ville Platte and Kevin Lafleur and wife Karen of Ville Platte; granddaughters, Megan Lafleur and Lauren Lafleur; grandsons, Jacob Luke Lafleur, Seth Lafleur, Jedd Lafleur, Noah Lafleur, Damon Dupre and Drake Dupre; sister, Elizabeth Ardoin and Bradley of Pine Prairie; and brother, Harold Johnson and Melba of Lafayette.

Sue is preceeded in death by her parents Melvin and Hilda Fontenot Johnson.

The family request that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2017 by Deacon Ben Soileau. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers are Jacob Luke Lafleur, Drake Dupre, Damon Dupre, Seth Lafleur, Charles Lafler and Eric Fontenot. Honorary Pallbearer is Jedd Lafleur.
