PINE PRAIRIE It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Gayle Dardeau, 68, the former Brenda McDaniel, announces her passing on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM in St. Peters Catholic Church in Pine Prairie with burial to follow in the St. Peters Mausoleum. Fr. Richard Broussard will officiate the services.
Brenda, a loving mother grandmother, and sister, was very active in her community. She served on the Prairie Plaza Board, was a former member of the Prairie Manor Inc. Board, served St. Peters Catholic Church as a Eucharistic minister, was a leader for the St. Peters AFTA Youth Group, was a former chairperson for the church fair and was a booth chairperson for the Boggy Bayou Festival in Pine Prairie. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons Mark Dardeau and wife Stephanie of Sulphur, La. and Mitch Dardeau and wife Sharon of Woodville, Texas, one brother Kenneth McDaniel and wife Janet of Alexandria, and three grandchildren, Maria, Erica, and Cody Dardeau.
She now joins in heaven her husband, Billy Dardeau and her parents Harry and Clemie McDaniel.
At the request of the family, visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and again on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 6:00 PM.
