VILLE PLATTEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Bonnie Pitre Fontenot, 69, announces her passing on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde with Father Gene Tremie as Celebrant.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister, Bonnies memory will be cherished by her husband of 51 years, Hersey G. Fontenot and her only son Kent G. Fontenot and his wife Lorraine of Ville Platte. Bonnie also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Justin Fontenot, Katie Fontenot and Brian Fontenot and her great grand children, Evan and Mila Fontenot. She is also survived by her sister, Delores Fontenot of Ville Platte.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verby and Edna Pitre. They will welcome her with open arms and full hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 16 2011. A Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue Friday, June 17, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services that morning.
