VILLE PLATTEA wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Billy Nick Nicholas will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Billy passed away on Saturday, January 09, 2010 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was 79. Funeral Services will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Father Sensat Celebrant.

Billy was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife, Jenny Duos Nicholas of Ville Platte his son, Craig Nicholas and wife, Glenda of Ville Platte his daughter, Nicki Davenport and husband, Billy Joe of Lafayette four grandchildren, Bryan Nicholas and wife, Beth, Derek Landry, Lacey Davenport, and Billy Davenport, Jr. and also his three great grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, and Jacob Nicholas.

Now he rests in heaven with his parents, five brothers, and one sister.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 8:00 am until Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Sunday evening.
