Beverly Guillory

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Monday, September 26, 2022, for Beverly Dean Guillory, 85. Father Andrew Killeen will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services. Burial will take place in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Beverly Dean Guillory passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022.  Beverly lived a vibrant life.  She never wasted an opportunity or a moment to fill the lives of others with an abundance of joy.  When she entered a room, you could feel the warmth of her smile.  Her most precious gift was her family.  She loved them all unconditionally and did everything within her power to ensure their success in life.  Beverly had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beverly was a phenomenal artist.  Her medium was in landscape painting.  She leaves behind numerous works of art that will be cherished by her family for generations to come.  She also enjoyed making handmade rosaries.  Beverly loved a game of cards with her friends and going to the casino to play the slot machines.  In her younger years she loved working in her yard and planting flowers.  Her family and friends will miss her dearly but rejoice knowing she is celebrated in heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Stagg Guillory; grandchildren, Eric Bruchhaus and wife, Jeanee’, Lindsay Adams and husband, Robert, Shelby Fontenot and husband, Kyle, Jordy Veillon and wife, Dana, Chelsie Soileau and husband, Chad, John Veillon and wife, Carson; great grandchildren, Reese, Austin, Mary-Grace, Creed, Ella, Addie, Laken, Loralei, Livie, Luke, Levi, Carleigh, Ainsley, Jace, Joshua, and Louella; and nephews Terral Lejeune and Randall Lejeune .

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Bertholin “Bat” Guillory; daughter, Sophia Guillory; son in law, Ray Neil Stagg; parents, Maise and Evelyn Lejeune; brother, Rolance Lejeune; and sister, Betty Jane Lejeune.

At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  A rosary will be led by Deacon Ben Soileau at 12:00 PM on Monday.
