Bethenel Johnson

VILLE PLATTE – Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte for Bethenel Rita Johnson, 86, who passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Opelousas.

Deacon Chuck Ortego will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bethenel Rita Johnson was born on October 8, 1934 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Charles and Isabell Vidrine Guillory. Bethenel really enjoyed visiting and talking to everyone.  She was a person who never met a stranger and she shared her friendly and outgoing personality with all those she met.  Bethenel was an excellent cook and her family found all her meals quite tasty.   Quilting and crocheting were two of her favorite past times. This outgoing lady will be greatly missed by her loved ones, and they will fondly remember the great times they have shared.

Bethenel is survived by her son, Lance Johnson and his wife, Angela of Pine Prairie; daughter, Cynthia Williams of Ville Platte; six grandchildren, Holly Williams, Shannon Johnson, Kourtney Trattles, Miles Johnson, and Victoria Gotreaux; and fourteen great grandchildren, Hannah Gallow, Alyssa Gallow, Haley Gallow, Alijah Gallow, Tristan Jones, Kaslyn Trattles, Khonner Trattles, Axten Trattles, Olivia Johnson, Olyssa Johnson, Raya Johnson, Madden Johnson, Ross Brignac, and Stella Goteaux.  Also left behind to cherish her memory are her three great great grandchildren, Taylen Gallow, Anobie Gallow, and Kayden Stenson, and brother Dwayne Guillory.

She is preceded in her death by her parents, Charles and Isabell Vidrine Guillory; husband, Joseph Inell Johnson; son Kohn Johnson; and granddaughter, Kylie Williams.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
