Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Bertha Mae Soileau, 83 announces her passing on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Maison de Ville Nursing Home in Opelousas. A Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Joshua Guillory Celebrant.

A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Bertha will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Tony L. Soileau of Lafayette and Bobby Soileau and wife, Marlene of Mamou; one daughter, Tina M. Dugas and husband, Andrew of Washington; one brother, Winston Fontenot of Biadely, Ca.; four sisters, Carrie Hostetter of San Diego, Ca., Gussie Thompson of Eunice, Emma Joy Anderson of Mamou, and Mary Belle Vidrine of Mamou; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Soileau.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, April 10, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
