Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Fontenot, 70 annouces her passing on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at her residence in Ville Platte. Services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Shaw Cemetery in Ville Platte. Bro. John Roberie will officiate the services.

A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Barbara will be lovingly missed by her four sons, Wayne Meyers and Keith Meyers both of Ville Platte, Ronnie Meyers of Prairieville, and Charles Meyers of Eunice; two daughters, Carla Meyers of Eunice and Shellie Fontenot of Ville Platte; one brother, Raymond Doucet of Lawtell; one sister, Parral Schexneider of Ville Platte; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Mae Doucet and one brother, Leroy Doucet.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, June 15, 2009 from1:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
