VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Audrey Guillory, 90, announces his passing on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Pineville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Mitchell Guidry, Celebrant.
Audrey proudly served his country in the US Army. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his wife of 23 years Dean Guillory, his son Tyron Fontenot of Breaux Bridge, and his five daughters Rachael Lee and husband Cary of Ville Platte, Shelly Fontenot and husband Jimmy of Breaux Bridge, Connie Clause and husband Dr. Jim of Lafayette, Fonda Salas and husband Adrian of Lafayette, and Nell Guillory also of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He now rests in Heaven with his parents Nelius and Axzeima Guillory and his three sisters Belle Thompson, Violet Vidrine, and Elvie Long.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in his honor Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
