MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, February 08, 2019, for Audrey Guillory Chapman, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Ville Platte, LA surrounded by her loved ones.
Father Tom Voorhies, Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.
Entombment will take place in New St. Ann's Mausoleum.
Audrey Guillory Chapman was born in Mamou, LA on August 25, 193 to Delton and Lena Fontenot Guillory. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Savoy Memorial Hospital for 23 years. She was also active in Come Lord Jesus groups as well as Rosary groups and Perpetual Adoration.
She is survived by her son, Randel Chapman and wife Margaret Fruge Chapman of Ville Platte; daughter, Dede Dupre and husband Glen Dupre of Mamou; five grandchildren, Lance Chapman and wife Dana, Dr. Luke Chapman and wife Jennifer, Adam Chapman and wife Kayla all of Ville Platte, Bryan Dupre and Paige Dupre both of Mamou; 10 great grandchildren; and three nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Delton and Lena Fontenot Guillory; son, Derryl Chapman; and sister, Deborah Guillory Perron.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 12:00 PM Friday.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, 716 6th Street, Mamou, LA 70554.
