VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Aubrey Catoire, age 81, announces his passing on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Lafayette General Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Saints at 2 PM. A burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving father, brother and friend, Aubrey will be greatly missed by his sons, William Catoire of Massachusetts, Aubrey M. Catoire of Ville Platte, Thomas Catoire, daughter, Marie Catoire Sylvester and sister, Ruth Bernard of Scott, La. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 7 grandchildren: Madison Catoire Reddell, Tiera Catoire, Alizabeth Peacock, Naomi Fontenot, Melisa Soileau, Jason Soileau and Adam Sylvester.
He is proceeded in death by his sisters, Lenora Fontenot and Isabella Poolson, brother-in-law, James Fontenot, his first wife, Mary Catoire, second wife, Pauline Clavin Catoire, granddaughter, Sarah Sylvester.
At the request of the Catoire family, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10 AM until time of services on Thursday. A rosary will be recited in Mr. Catoire's honor on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 7 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
