Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Armina Soileau, 94, announces her passing on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Richard Vidrine celebrant.

A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Armina will be lovingly remembered by her two sons Nelson Soileau and wife Emilie of Baton Rouge and Dale Soileau and wife Dianne of Opelousas, one daughter Betty McHenry and husband Daniel of Houston, Texas, one brother Willie Ortego of Lake Charles, two sisters Louise Sylvester of Grand Prairie and Mary Mae Virdrine of Vidrine, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aswell Soileau, her parents Emile and Lavenia Ortego, her grandson Daniel

McHenry III, and six brothers and sisters.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Sunday evening.
