VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Anthony Reed, 78, announces his passing on Saturday, December 1, 2012. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of committal will be in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Father McEntire celebrant.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley Reed, three sons Greg Reed and wife Becky of Arkansas, Mike Reed of Ville Platte, and Christopher Reed and wife Tara of Scott, two daughters Clare Kimble and husband Max of Oregon and Cathy Clark and husband Travis of Turkey Creek, and one sister Sr. Mary Flavia MSC of New Orleans. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his fourteen grandchildren Remi Reed, Chasity, Cody, and Kasey Reed, Jenny Brignac, Natalie Carson, Maggie Pitre, Britni Reed, Jessica, Katie, and Abbie Clark, Aidan, Oliver, and Amelia Reed and his seven great grandchildren Triston John Lafleur, Marianne and Landon Lafleur, Jacelyn and Averie Pitre, and Kaytlyn and Victoria Reed.
He now joins in heaven his parents Remi and Therese Reed, two sons David and Timothy Paul Reed and two daughters Mary Beth Berzas and Carol Anne Reed.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in his honor at 6:30 PM Sunday evening.
I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.
