Alton Bolfa

VILLE PLATTE - A memorial service will be held at a later date for Kent Bolfa, 61, who passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Kent was born on December 31, 1960, in Ville Platte LA to Ferril Glenn Bolfa, Sr. and Della Mae Fontenot Bolfa.  Kent was a long-time Merchant Marine Captain, delivering cargo to ports around the world. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed being on the waterways of the south, fishing for anything that swam. When the seasons changed, he could be found in a duck blind or hunting in the woods. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Kent is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Don Bolfa and companion Stephanie Cardwell, Kirk Patrick Bolfa; his sister, Judy Ann Yahiku and husband Stan; step son-in-law Derrell White  and  step daughter Brandy Hidalgo and husband Marillio Step grandchildren; Amber Cazarez, Autumn White, , Noah White, Lorena Hidalgo, Lynnsey Hidalgo, and Landen Hidalgo;
four step great grandchildren;, Aubrey, Julio, Mateo, and Daniel ;3 nephews, 4 nieces, 7 great nephews, and 3 great-nieces .He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferril Glenn Bolfa, Sr. and Della Mae Fontenot Bolfa, his wife, Luna Bolfa, and his brother, Ferril Glenn Bolfa, Jr. step daughter April White and step grandchild Austin White.
