VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 3:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Vile Platte on Monday, March 9, 2020, for Albert J. Savant, 79, who passed away of Friday, March 6, 2020 in Reddell.
Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Albert J. Savant was born in Vidrine, Louisiana on May 31, 1940 to Abbie Savant and Loycie Thompson Savant. Albert worked as an auto mechanic at Morein Motors. He will be greatly missed by all.
Albert is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Marie Fontenot and husband, Abel Paul of Reddell and Tina Sue Bordelon and husband, Claude of Mamou; five grandchildren, Breana Bordelon, Tori Bordelon, Tiffany Fontenot, Ryan Fontenot, and Leon Holland; his brother, Robert Savant and wife Elaine of Folzo; one sister, Brenda Shipp and husband Jim of Tate Cove.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abbie Savant and Loycie Thompson Savant; one brother, Winston Savant; and two sisters, Joyce Ware and Gail Perroide.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, March 8, from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 9, at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, led by Deacon Ben Soileau.
